This 4+ year training course is for those wishing to commence a career as a qualified Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist or Transactional Analysis Counsellor, those wishing to develop their professional skills, or can be taken as a one or two year addition to personal development.
The Foundation year starts in October 2010 and will be facilitated by our Trainer Jon Pearson PTSTA, Jon has formerly conducted Psychotherapy Training at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy and is the Founding Director of the Calderdale Yoga Centre in Hebden Bridge, a Provisional Trainer and Supervisor in Transactional Analysis and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, he has recently taken up the Training Directorship at Liverpool Therapy Training.
The course will lead to accreditation as a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist or Transactional Analysis Counsellor and we aim to ensure the training will meet the forthcoming legal requirement for a Psychotherapist to be registered with the health service and ITA/EATA accreditation requirements. Our Clinical Director Dr Ailis F Murphy will have a supervisory role on the course to ensure a high quality of presentation, training and content.
Places on the Psychotherapy Training Course are limited to 14, and will be run over 10 weekends per year. Reading, peer skills practice, a commitment to personal development and written coursework will be required as part of the training.
Our aim is to train QUALITY Psychotherapists not just Qualified Psychotherapists.
Price for the Foundation Year:
£1850 Self/Charity funded £2100 Organisation funded.
The course fees can be paid in 10 monthly instalments.
